A prayer app only works if it's fast, reliable and doesn't get in your way. That shaped every decision here.

Yes. The app is free to download and use, and is supported by advertising.
Mostly no. Prayer times, the Quran text, Adhkar, the Hijri calendar and the Zakat calculator all work offline. You'll need a connection to detect your location the first time, to download Hadith collections or Tafsir, and to play audio recitation — recitation is streamed, so it needs internet each time you listen.
Ten methods are available — Muslim World League, Egyptian General Authority, University of Islamic Sciences (Karachi), Umm al-Qura (Makkah), Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Moonsighting Committee, Singapore and ISNA (North America) — plus a custom option. You can also choose the madhab used for Asr timing: Hanafi, or Shafi'i / Maliki / Hanbali.
Location is used only to calculate accurate prayer times and your Qibla direction for where you actually are. You can also set your location manually by city instead of sharing GPS location. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Yes — Azan alerts are scheduled with the system alarm and continue to work when the app isn't open. For the most reliable alerts, avoid aggressive battery-optimization settings for the app on your device.
